Success seems to be contagious in the entertainment industry.
First, it was Wizkid buying a Porsche
Dr. Sid unveiling his mansion in Lekki and I Go Save revealing an
N11m ride. Well, M.I. can officially say he is in the same category as these other artistes;
‘The Chairman’ recently acquired a Bentley.
This has been a good year for M.I., who is one of the lucky artistes signed on as Glo ambassadors, and who is also on the coveted panel for the first ever X-Factor Nigeria.
We hope for more success for the Loopy Records boss. Even though Chocolate City as a record label seems to be heading for the records, this doesn’t seem to be slowing Jude Abaga at all.
Still on the subject of success, I guess it is appropriate to talk about the many brand ambassadors (except me, of course).
Congrats to the newly signed brand Ambassadors for MTN: Iyanya (long overdue), Praiz and Chidinma (all Project Fame successes) and then there’s Wizkid who is also signed to MTN, and who has his new Star contract and renewed Pepsi contract.
Let’s not forget the OBO himself, Davido, who was unofficially the first artiste signed by MTN, and who is reportedly being paid
N70 million by the telecom giant. Ms. Tiwa Savage, who also renewed her contract with Pepsi, had her first exclusive listening party this last weekend at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi.
This is definitely a good time to be a Nigerian artiste — why am I not one?
